Dr. Albert's Practice Update

After almost 20 years of private practice in pediatrics and over 14 years at Alabama Pediatrics, Dr. Albert has decided to pursue her passion of traveling the world! Beginning in May, Dr. Albert will no longer have regularly scheduled work hours in our office. Since she can't leave Alabama Pediatrics completely (or more importantly her patients), Dr. Albert will be avaliable to fill in at our office as needed. Dr. Albert will also be working limited shifts in the Emergency Department at Children's Hospital. Dr. Albert's last regulary scheduled day at Alabama Pediatrics will be Thursday May 2nd.

While we will all miss Dr. Albert, we are excited to introduce Dr. Abby Allen to our practice. A long-time friend of Dr. Albert, Dr. Allen was handpicked to take over Dr. Albert's patients once she decided to make this change. Dr. Allen is a native of Birmimgham, completed her residency and served as Chief Resident at Children's Hospital of Alabama, and has been practicing at Pediatrics West for the past 14 years. This will not be her first time at Alabama Pediatrics, however, as she filled in for Dr. Levin and Dr. Stansell prior to starting at Pediatrics West, so she understands the level of care that we provide to our patients. We look forward to introducing you to Dr. Allen and feel certain that you will develop the same trust in her care as you have for Dr. Albert and the rest of the physicians at Alabama Pediatrics. Dr. Allen will begin July 1st and will be working two days a week.
